Is it common to have pain in the thigh 4 months after endovenous ablation?

The discomfort is worse with exercise and sometimes I noticed numbness as well.

A: Properly done endovenous laser ablation usually does not cause pain more than few weeks after the procedure. Occasionally if the treated vein is large patients might have discomfort for a bit longer. Numbness is usually symptoms that the nerve that runs next to the vein has been affected. At the Heart and Vein Center this type of complaint has never been heard. We use a technique that completely avoids damaging the nerves.
